Our government wouldn’t be so big if people weren’t such idiots. If you’re going slow in the left lane you’re basically taking the highway from say 2 lanes down into 1 lane which is the complete opposite of why it was built. That’s why people jump to the right lane and back over to the middle and then to the left which is very dangerous. If you want to go slow or are too scared to drive on the highway take the backroads or stay in the right lane. Although when you stay in the right lane nobody can merge onto the highway from the entrance ramp because you’re too scared to follow the thru traffic stay left sign. It’s just as dangerous to drive slow on the highway as it is to drive fast in a residential area.

Seems like a reminder campaign and freeway road signs would be money well spent. Of course, I'd be up for much more extensive driver training to get/renew a license, also. But who's gonna listen to me??

Oh how pissed I get when the left lane is going the same speed as the other lanes and there's no one in front of the left-lane-camper...

Great video! Too bad it won't make much difference in the US.

The other dangerous activity I see quite a bit is driving slowly in the center lane of a 3-lane roadway. It has a multiplier effect on the number of lane changes. But for some reason it makes a certain portion of the population feel safe to drive (relatively) slowly there.

Great message, i always thought of those surveys showing that slower left lane drivers were the real danger!
The best part is getting flipped off or tailgated
After you pass the slow left lane person

When I got my driver license at 18, I was ignorant of this yield-to-faster-traffic left lane etiquette/rule for nearly two years. It was either not taught to me at the driving school (many US driving schools are pretty crappy, esp back in the 80's) or I was just a bad student (more than probable). My parents didn't and still don't drive so they couldn't be an educational resource to me on this topic either. I had my share of drivers being upset at me for cruising at 10 over speed limit on the left lane. My immature and uninformed rationale was that if they want to go faster than that, then it's upon them to make the necessary maneuver.

It's one of many things in life that I wish I learned from the get-go but I suppose that's part of the growing up process. I still get annoyed with slow drivers that camp out on left lane (guilty of being a hypocrite), then I calm myself down by reminding myself that I, too, was once ignorant of such rule just as the video narrator was.

My dad taught me how to drive the correct way. He told me to drive on the right lane unless passing. And now he's forgotten it all. It's embarrassing to drive with him. He drives the speed limit in the far left-hand lane. Cars honking at him and flashing their lights.

Was driving with my fam from Seattle to Vancouver this past weekend. It's such an epidemic in WA state. You can see far down the road that the people stuck behind the left lane campers won't pressure them or just go around and give a honk. As soon as you cross the border into B.C. it disappears. I got the finger and brake checked too just for flashing lights.

Americans can't let their egos go when driving. It's a "me first" society focused on dominating others. Just let others pass and go about your day, why get stressed over something so menial?

I've seen a lot of jealousy too. People see a BMW and purposely want to f*ck with it. Sad souls.

Around Atlanta, at least, that speed often approaches triple-digits.

On 95 South, it can be pretty bad, I’ll grant you that.

The relentless 4 way stops or lights instead of roundabouts are a greater scourge than left lane hogs.

Such STUPID rules though, cannot believe how dumb they are. In OZ we just give way to our right instead of this INSANE "who got there first".

So much stupid.
