Request: Wiring diagram for auto-dimming mirror

Poldim, do you by chance have the wiring diagram for the auto-dimming mirror with compass and garage remote?

Thanks in advance,
Blasman

It works!!!

Actually, the tech at the dealer and myself figured it out. There are normally 3 wires connected to the dimming mirrot/compass/garage remote. Pin 3: +12V green/white wire, Pin 10: Ground, Pin 1: +12V when in reverse blue/yellow wire. I had the dealer install the mirror using the retrofit wire harness. The compass worked, the garage remote worked, but the mirror never dimmed. After tearing it apart again and using a voltmeter, I found that Pin 1, the signal for reverse had +5 volts running thru it when the car isn't in reverse. It must have been enough to signal the mirror to not dim. Well, I just clipped that wire, and the mirror dims fine now. The only thing that doesn't work is that it will stay dimmed even in reverse. I don't find it a problem, but other people might.

In retrospect, this is a pretty easy DIY as the mirror just rotates to clip on or off the mount on the windshield. The +12V can come from the same switched wire mentioned in the valentine 1 hardwire instructions as well as the ground.

I had it done at Patrick BMW in Schaumburg. It took them a while to figure out how to install the wiring harness, but I was their Guinea Pig, so they gave me a break.
