Dual Cone Filter & JB
I just ordered the Dual cone filters and JB1. Do you think I will feel a difference in performance with these mods? can i expect to get more of a turbo spooling sound with the dual filters rather than factory airbox?

Just messing with you. JB1 should be a good increase in power compared to stock (~25hp), and the dual cones will give you more sound for sure. At the low boost levels of JB1 (~9.75) I wouldn't expect to gain too much from the dual cones though. Regardless, enjoy the mods and be safe out there.... |

I slapped on a couple of dual cones, but my wife said since I did my performance is somewhat diminished. I attribute that to the cones getting in the way.

I'm about to do the same thing!! glad to know I'm not the only one. I think we won't see much gains if any, but I don't think we will lose any since we have a mild tune. For those running V3s, Dinans, JB2X, etc... I think they gain 5-10whp...

Just think of dual cones and DPs as building foundation for stronger tunes.

i have the same setup and its great so far and it is a big improvement over stock.
i had the JB1 first which i felt more power, once i added the DCI there was a much better throttle response and my 29.2 lag diminished. i cant hear much of a noise diff but people around me out side the car said they did. remember to unplug your battery during install and step on break a few times to really drain the battery

You will definatly feel it! Also, unplugging the batter for an hour will cause the car to "re-adapt" all its trims... so you will get the most out of it the soonest, but you still will need to put a good 50-100 miles of hard driving on it before its fully adapted.
You will be pleased with the power |
