19'' csl rims on e90 sedan (328i)

I was thinking of getting 4 front csl rims (19x8.5) because I heard I would need to 'roll' my rear fenders to make the rear csl rims (19x9.5) fit. I see a lot of 328i's with the staggered look, but I don't want to 'roll' my fenders to make it fit. Do you know if the 19x9.5 would fit without rolling my back fenders? Would it not look as good if it doesn't have the staggered look? I love the rims though.

No, I don't have the sports suspension. I have the standard suspension. Would that make a difference?

Stock suspension - no rubbing with down to ET30 (which is the quote, un-quote "perfect fitment for E90/E92"). with M3 rear offset ET22 you will rub on big dips and with heavy load.

Lowered suspension (H&R sports) - slight rubbing with ET30 and pretty hardcore rubbing with ET22.. fender rolling will eliminate all rubbing with ET30 and eliminate fender rubbing with ET22.. you will still rub the liner on the inside with heavy load and/or big dips.. they will not touch the fender.. just the liner inside (which will not ruin your tires or fenders)

Speaking from experiance. Went through a bunch of offsets and ended up at ET22 for the look, can't beat it.. and I can live with slight liner rubbing even though I rolled the fenders twice, to the max.

Some pics for you.

Stock suspension with ET22.. absolutely no problems unless I had three 200lb fat girls in the back

H&R Sport springs and 2 sessions of fender rolling on ET22 rears.

Hope my info helps.

Go with 19x9.5 ET30 in the back and you're fine. Let us know if you need anything

Had 265/30 first on the silver CSL's from **********s without problems and now I run 275/30 on the Gunmetal's from EAS with the slight rubbing after fender rolling ($25 per fender)

On E90, yes it's fine. Others will recommend the ET30 which is only 7mm less pushed out, but ET22 on sedan and no drop is fine.

There is no need to roll your fenders, we have these available in a 19x8.5 ET40 and 19x9.5 ET33 that would work perfectly with a 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 tire size.

Don't mess with me Nick.. all I'm saying is if he wants ET22 on his sedan, he will have to roll.

With ET40, ET33, and ET30 he'll be fine.

You guys have been alot of help....another question is...is the gap between the fender and the wheel so large that I would need to drop it or can I just leave the same stock springs on it? (I don't want my car to look like a 4x4...lol)....also...what springs would you recommend...I see that most people have been using H&R's, but is there a specific H&R type (I saw 3 different kinds when going through Jlevisw's website).

When replacing wheels/tires you will keep the same rolling diameter of the combo so the wheel gap will remain the same. When you plus size the wheels, the wheels get bigger and the tires get thinner, so the final height of the wheel/tire is the same.

In regards to H&R springs, you are referring to Sport, Race and probably coilovers. The Sport is the smallest drop (this is what I have on the car). The race is a bit more aggressive and lower, and the coils will get you adjustable height (and sometimes dampening, like the H&R coils) Coils are also the most expensive out of the 3 but they come with adjustable springs and shocks/struts. The Sport and Race are just springs and it is recommended that you match them with aftermarket shocks/struts that are meant for lowering springs. Check out the suspension forums for more help on that.

I saw that **********s offer the vmr's with hypersilver, but jlevisw only offers it in super silver...I've been looking at pictures online of both colors....but I'm the type of person who needs to see the color/rim in real life to decide...has anyone actually seen both colors in real life and liked one better than the other...also miro offers it too, but apparently it has less "concavely in the back", you you think it looks better with the concavity or without....thnx

Cool....I want to push it out to the max without using spacers on stock sport pack on the sedan. I don't want to spend $$ on ET30 with 265 then spend more $$ on rear spacers. thanks bro.

If I were to get the 19'' CSL's, what do I do with the TPMS? Can I transfer them from my stock 16'' rims?...Do I buy new ones (how much would that be?) or can I disable the system (which I don't think is a good idea)...?

Yes, you switch over TPMS. You can also purchase new ones. We have them and sell them for $250 a set.

You can have your dealership disable your TPMS warning, however we have heard depending on the dealership, they may or may not do this for you.

Currently, we are not producing our VB3 CSL wheels in Hyper silver anymore. We only offer super silver for a silver option. The difference between the two colors is almost indiscernible. If anything I'd say the super silver is half a shade lighter than our older hyper silver option.

Concavity is king! I'd prefer a concave wheel over a flat faced wheel any day of the week.

my car is dumped on h&r race with et22 in the rear... rolled rear fenders, it used to rub very rarely. i got the car aligned to oem specs, all zero'd out and now the rear rubs here and there with passengers. so if i add a degree or so of neg. camber in the rear again i will be fine.
