Disabled Valvetronic without check engine light?
Did a scan on my F30 with N55 engine and got two wierd error codes:
133E10 Valvetronic system: deactivated adjustment fault too frequent. 110001 Cylinder injection shutdown: pressure too low in high-pressure system. The strange thing is that I am not experiencing any performance loss or anything different at all. The check engine light is not lit. I get these code only from communication with DME and no issue when scanning on OBD2/EOBD. They are still there after a restart of the car. I have not tried to clear them, since I plan to eventually visit a shop to read the codes with a better tool. Might these just be some kind of ghost codes put there by some mistake? I did some work under the hood earlier and disconnected the battery to be safe, I am starting to think they might have occurred then due to the power loss. The engine was shut down before but I am not sure the display in the car was 100% off before I cut the power. Another theory is that my scan tool is not communication properly with the car. Next time I will do a scan pre/post work for sure :P ANY input is appreciated. It just seems too weird of issue to have without MIL activation (Malfunction indicator light aka check engine light) or any other noticeable change. |

I did see that post and it is comforting that the post starts with "N55 check engine light on,,,,faults were valvetronic motor..." Since my check engine light is not on.

Sorry to revive an old thread, the link above is NLA. When my ground strap died and gave my car a no crank no start, I got the 133E10 code as well and my car is in limp mode. I did not previously have this issue.
Did you fix this? |
