I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the dinan stage 2 software for my april 08 production e90 sedan. I was surfing the dinan site a few days ago and came upon this.

First I called my local dinan dealer, and then called Eric from dinan to see why the msd 81 software was released for the 135, but not the 335. Eric was very prompt with the callback as always and told me that the 335 software will be released wthin the next 2 weeks.

Can anyone else confirm?

I am also waiting for the new Dinan flash for the DME81. They have been saying "within 2 weeks" for the last 2 months so I won't get your hopes up.

I think the fact that they have released the dme 81 for the 135 on their website is a good sign. We will see.......

Unfortunately, this is for the Stage I. Personally, I don't know why it would be different for the Stage II but it must be different and probably working out the bugs. All I am saying is don't hold your breath.

The only thing that's bugging me now is that it says that we have to send our ecu's to dinan for the flash. I remember this being the case for cars when they first released the flash a while back. I hope the dealer will be able to flash themselves soon, as i can't be without my car!

I heard it will be 6 months until they can flash them at the shops. You think you guys have been waiting awhile? I have paid for everything a month ago thinking it would get installed. I now have the intercooler, oil cooler and exhaust without a stage 3 tune. I have been diligently waiting for the software to come out and bugging Nick at Dinan for information. If I can get it over the next few weeks that would be great.

That sucks but hopefully you will have the stage 3 very soon. Sounds sick.....

For what it's worth, I talked to my service guy earlier today and he said he'd called Dinan this morning and they said it should be available in about two weeks. They also said he should have no problem doing it here at the shop as opposed to sending the chip away.

He booked me in for the end of July to get my Stage 2 done.

Could always change I guess, but thought I'd pass the word along.

I'm getting the Dinan stage 2 installed on my car tomorrow, Rusnak BMW in Westlake is installing it for $2250.00, and that’s with the software and labor. I just can't wait to drive the car after it's installed.

Cool. Keep us posted! Pay real close attention to the throttle/turbo response. Get a good feel for what the car is like <2500 RPM's now, when you floor it in several different gears. Then do the same test after the flash. Love to hear the results!

Will do. The car is being worked on rite now, the service adviser told me that the car might be done today maybe even tomorrow. I can’t wait !!!

So I picked up my car yesterday from the dealership, I just have to say after they flash the throttle and turbo response got so much batter. You barely can feel any lag, but now the traction control is just useless first and second gear just rips, and all you see is the traction control light blinking from all that power to the rear wheels. But other then that I love the upgrade.
