Heavy shift knob that 'pops' on without set screws?
Title says it all, I loved the heavy TWM knob in my old 135i but hated playing with set screws every few weeks. Seems like all the heavy shift knobs have an adapter or set screws. Tried ZHP and Performance knob but they aren't nearly heavy enough.
Is there an option like BFI or TWM M1 Abrams knob that 'pops' in like the OEM-style knobs? Or would it be easier to machine the shifter to accept screw-on options from honda/subaru etc? |

I've been looking around for such a shift knob too and haven't found any that 'Pop' on.
In case it is helpful here is the list I've collected in my searches before - all use at least one set screw, unfortunately. If not helpful, simply ignore :-) This one uses at least a different mount that might hold better than the usual set screw pain: https://euroimpulse.com/collections/e90-91-92-93-bmw The Race Engineering one is similar: https://www.raceseng.com/ashiko-text...mw-shifter-arm The BSI one says their diameter is matched to the E90, so might be better?: https://www.uspmotorsports.com/bfi-h...keep_https=yes |
