New turbos but still wastewater rattle

Hi, just wondered if anyone can help. So I have a 2007 335i convertible and to cut a huge long story short it needed new turbos as the wastegates were shot and rattled like hell. Anyway after new turbos the rattle is still there. It’s driving me mad now and don’t know what else it could be. Anyone have any suggestions?

The Actuator Rod is loosening after time. When the rod loosens, the length of the rod increases and increases, eventually making the wastegate not seal properly. Since there eventually becomes little to no pressure against the seal, then the wastegate rattles against the seal, causing the ticking sound. Also if u have a tune in your vehicle make sure to change map and or configuration settings but that's only if you have a tune.

When you say "new turbos", can you be more specific? What brand, new or rebuilt, and who installed them?

I put in new OEM Mitsubishi turbos, which are calibrated at the factory, and I don't have any rattle, and I think I've had the turbos for maybe 20K or more?

They were new Mitsubishi turbos which I’m told have preset actuator rods. A local independent bmw specialist fitted them

Could vacuum lines to boost solenoids and canisters cause this? Or the boost solenoids themselves?

Start up and low rpm load a high vacuum state?

I'm not sure but when I refreshed all my vacuum lines my rattle improved quite a bit. Still rattles a bit.

I don't know the ins and outs of the wastegate system but did something for me
