Popping noise after UUC sway and KWv2 install
Hey guys, need some help...
So I had my UUC sway bars installed by a BMW dealership last Thursday (4 days ago) and everything was perfect... car drove well, and no problems. Today, I installed some KWv2's myself with the help of some friends. Installation went smoothly and all bolts were put back to their original spots very tightly. However, now when I turn left and right, I hear and feel a "popping" noise from the front wheels. On further examination, we noted that you can feel the front sway bar thudding along with the popping noise. We tried looking into the wheel well while turning the wheel, but couldn't see anything rubbing. Then we took the front wheels off with the car jacked up, but everything is bolted on solid... no rubbing that we can see. I thought the noise sounded like a screw bring pushed back and forth through a hole, causing a 'popping' sound as each thread clicked past the metal edge of the hole. We think it may be related to the link that connects the sway bar to the strut. Can anyone chime in? Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not sure if it's a problem that I can fix or maybe I need to take the car back to the BMW dealership to get it all checked out. Thanks for your input, guys!!
