Exhaust manifold gasket change in car
can one or any of the 3 exhaust manifolds gaskets be changed with the 335d engine still in car?
both turbos have to come off? thanks |

i have no idea, but i would think it could be don't in car "easily" i have not looked at the manifold with the thought of changing the gasket.
***I'm 100% guessing / assuming / and talking out of my ass..*** i would think it can be done in car with no turbo removal or just the small one... The DPF needs to come off then after that is done you should have enough room to get to the bolts remove them and kick the entire assembly off to the side and change the gasket from the bottom.. I'm sure someone who has done it will see that and set the process straight lol |

yes it can be done in the car, i changed all 3 back in june 2019
they were about £13-16 pounds each GBP i had to loosen off the AC compressor and bracket and drop it down out of the way about 5-8mm, without completely removing it that was for when trying to re-install the manifold and bi-turbo all in one setup/big awkward lump, when trying to position back onto all the manifold studs sticking out of the cyl head |
