Teslas now have "Mad Max" mode
I've seen a few articles about Teslas now having a "Mad Max Mode". When I read the headline, I initially thought it would allow one to pull alongside another vehicle and keep pace with it inches away to allow one to crawl out the window, on to the hood (bonnet) in order to jump over to the other vehicle and slay occupants of said vehicle.
Sadly, it's not nearly that interesting, but rather it merely means the threshold of how much slower than the set cruise speed a car ahead has to be going before it will attempt to pass is much lower. A mate of mine who owns a Model S and just ordered a Model 3 Perf called it "BMW mode. Except it signals." http://www.thedrive.com/news/24538/t...ad-max-setting |

No worries; hopefully the Mods will fix it ...
... and there's surely some comfort in the fact that this Tesla megathread has the same boo-boo.

I was hoping that amps would raise out of the back when autopilot is engaged so that I could hope on the roof with my Les Paul and rock out!

i can see the feature's appeal to the drones who want self-driving cars, but i too cannot see why they would call it the "Mad Max" mode. sounds like Driving Miss Daisy mode.
