Man these bugs are high!

so whats the deal with bugs in the summer chillen on a freshly waxed ride?!

it seems that when i wax my car a slew of mosquitos and weird bugs all just chill on my car... everywhere! when the car is not clean there are no bugs at all. some fly all over the place going nuts while others just sit on the car and do not move... not matter how close you get!!

anyone else experience this? know why it happens with waxing products?

Maybe it's the fragrance left on the paint after wax. bugs here in the dc area are too stupid. They just fly around in front of your car and gets smashed on the bumper

lol, never noticed that. But the fragrance theory is very possible.

It always happens to me, everytime i leave the movie theater i see hundred of weird looking bugs (mostly the ones that sticks on McDonalds windows at night looool) just chillin on my car.....i hate bugs, can't stand them!!

i see this happen too. Isn't dirt a natural mosquito repellent or something? I know that elephants put dust on themselves to keep the flies and mosquitos off of them, so i guess the dirt on the car keep them away too. That or the smell...

happens to me allthe time. sometimes one will get chaught in a MF towel and i have to change the towel!

It is the smell of the products for sure. There is a meguiars wax that smells like bananas and every time I ever used it a whole swarm of bees would come land on the car. Also it seems like flies the smell also. But if I was a bug id rather hang out on a bad ass shiny car then a dirty one.
