SSTT Rocks! This is why I bought this car.
Thanks to Eric and the guys at Supreme Power Parts for getting my SSTT delivered this weekend as promised.
I actually tried the usb cable method and gave up and used the guitar pick provided which was instantly successful (it was easier for me to just use one hand and feel my way with the pick under the tongue and then wedge it in there and it stays put while you pull the connector out. Very easy install. I just got back from a couple quick runs and I am truly impressed. This car literally jumps to 80. It is still just as smooth...maybe even smoother than before. I saw my TC light come on for the first time too trying to get a headstart on the on-ramp It pulls like a freight train. You just touch the gas and you can feel the nose lift up even when your already doing 65 This engine is just so good it continues to amaze me every day. It's such a joy to drive. I don't know if it's in my mind but the exhaust sounded deeper too. I can't wait for the next couple days to pass to get it adapted. Very happy buyer and got a great price too! I wanted something that would keep me happy until I get through my warranty and then hopefully by then some proven big turbo options will be available. I can only imagine how fast this thing is for the more aggressive tunes out there...must be just stupid fast. I'm posting as this user to keep my anonymity for obvious reasons |

Yes, the SSTT is a great easy to install (albeit a bit fiddly) modification. I watched the Youtube install video of the Procede V3 PNP the other day and it looks much more complicated than the SSTT!

Got it on sale for $480 during the 4th of July sale on Supreme Power Parts. I just checked their site and it's back to $595. You can always email them and see if they'll give you another 10% off. Even at $600 it's still a good value. The sale got me off the fence

Glad you like the SSTT Go get some dyno pulls and see what kind of numbers you put down. Hopefully you installed a boost gauge first... |

mod is basically hidden if you see where it goes, as far as warranty, take it out when you go the stealer and you'll be ok, but more than half of the parts depos in the USA sell these
Just do yourself a favor and take it out, takes "split second" haha |

not placebo, it gets a bit deeper, couple buddies noticed it too.. coupled with dual cone, the car sounds great even with stock exhaust.

It is a small Plug-n-play ECU tuner aka piggy back that increases your horsepower via boosting the PSI Your engine as you know it, is a twin turbo'd engine. The turbos have impellers within them which create induce suction hence the term Forced Induction...(F/I) Basically your turbos are running at 8PSI which currently give you ~280 WHP (15% drivetrain loss on dyno) with the SSTT running on 93 Octane fuel, you may see upwards of 35-40+WHP and 45-50+tq putting you at ~315-320WHP This is the easiest method because it is plug and play and nothing else is necessary but also this may void your powertrain warranty if a dealership finds out. but like mentioned above, it has been known to be sold in parts dept of some dealerships. |

Fortunately, I doubt the Additional Details tab on the confirmation page shows an address... as anyone can type the shipping number. Not trying to give you a hard time, I just thought it was amusing. Last edited by BmwFanFL; 07-14-2008 at 01:30 PM.. |
