Question: E90 320d (2012) N47 Engine change to F30 320d N47, Feel power lost
Dear All,
Recently I've engine oil pressure low signal from the car and continue to drive it to the workshop. After several of trial and error, the workshop figure out that the engine need to be change (Repair will cost more). According to the workshop's research the E90 320d and F30 320d using the exactly the some model of engine: N47. I decided to go for the used N47 engine that install in a 2015 F30 320d. After collect the car for few days and test it, I feel that seems like the power is lost compare to my 6 years old N47 engine, The acceleration from 80km/h to 120 km/h need more time, Last time I can easily go above 200 km/h and reach the top speed around 233km/h, Now the needle seems like very hard to clock above 200km/h and the top speed seems like a very far destination. First of all, is this normal? Is it because of the engine not pair with the gearbox same as F30 (F30 320d have identical horse power as E90 320d, which is 184hp) I need some advise, Anything I need to do to bring back that kind of "kick" like in the previous N47 engine? |
