* new SSTT PLUS *

just some info from JEff, still waiting for alot more answer's though.

Would really depend on ambient temperature. But with all things being equal you can figure about 13HP and 15Ft Lbs of torque on a 75 degree day. It was very hot on our test day so we will run it again when its cooler. To stay safe we are not increasing the boost that much over the standard SSTT. But the difference in feel of the car is frankly astounding! Of course the new exhaust adds another 6-8HP but the sound is what gets ya!

Now we are going to make a similar exhaust for the 335's and then the X6.

Imagine a SSTT with a 2 foot harness and our factory connectors at one end. There is 2 screws on the box that you remove and inside you will find a dial to turn with several positions. No extra boost, 91 octane, 95+ octane.

In good temperatures the unit produces a max of about 1/2 a lb more than the SSTT. Fueling is handled the same way as the SSTT and so far there are not detection issues with this unit on the V81 DME as tested on our 135 with that DME.

This unit is a completely new unit. I do not have pricing on it yet. But those who want to run this will need to sell their old ones. Luckily from what I see on ebay pricing is still holding very well around 400 or more used. But please understand this is not the SSTT 2 that we had envisioned that unit we hope to get out soon and it will be a separate control device as we always thought so will work with the Plus.

We expect many folks to hang on to their older units. Only time will tell how many of you might switch over to the Plus. I for one love it on my car and the feel on 93 or higher octane is simply amazing.

AS soon as I have pricing I will post it.

A whole new unit w/o a trade-in advantage. Sounds similar to the JB2H, w/o the added installation steps.

Kinda wack since i just ordered my SSTT .. whatever... I guess if i want more significant improvements i should be lookin at V3 or JB3. Its prolly gonna kill the SSTT resale value whenever i decide to upgrade. Weak sauce.

It all depends on how much more expense the SSTT plus will be. If it is 300 bucks more than you are probably okay...

I dunno how many people are gonna shell out 900 for the SSTT plus, assuming a 300$ price hike. Who knows lol.

The SSTT plus attaches to a normal SSTT. Its an upgrade for the SSTT and requires you have an SSTT first, thats why there is no trade in credit.

But later Jeff corrected him and said it was a stand alone unit

i dont really get it....

so the no boost mode, will be stock?
the 91 octane or pump gas mode will be SSTT
and the race gas or 95+ mode will be SSTT race gas mode?

so what will be the advantages of the SSTT and the SSTT+ on pump gas mode?

So there will be a tiny bit more power to be had than on 91. But even the stock car makes more power on 93 than on 91.

However if you are running 95 or higher then the unit will make nearly 1/2 a lb more boost. This is where the major difference will be seen. The higher the octane at this point the more power generated. I can't imagine what the power output will be on a car with a FMIC, downpipes and 100 octane plus the two cone intake. But the car will certainly be a hand full!

Jeff,

In regards to the octane adustment dial, are you saying that we can either choose 91 OR 95+....or rather, is adjustable throughout the range?

Am I the only one who is a little disappointed by this??? I though the plus was going to give me more horsepower on top of the SSTT, without using race gas. The dyno sheet means absolutly nothing, because it is run with exhaust and intake.

I guess I waited all this time for no reason. I guess its time to move on to new and better things.
