Hey guys

my car: E93 2007 335i

I got the following errors:
2A98 Crankshaft-inlet camshaft , reference
3100 boost pressure control deactivation

All mechanics I know are shut until next week and was hoping to get back on the road ASAP.

I searched alot on here and found Vanos Solenoids could potentially be the problem so I've tried cleaning the Vanos Solenoids today but no difference. The one at the bottom (exhaust one) was very dirty compared to the top one

After clearing all errors, I start the car (starts fine) and it's fine for a minute until the revs settle and I get Engine light/Limp mode. I can hear the exhaust poping too when I rev it.


Has had spark plugs and coils changed a month ago so if it helps

EDIT:
Was advised to swap the inlet and exhaust Vanos solenoids to see if error changes. Still stayed the same.

Could be faulty wiring going to the sensor, or could be the cam ledge failure as I believe that causes vanos problems (usually more though)
