WTF?! Has this happened to anyone?!
Here's the shake down......
So I was driving home, doing about 30 mph, about to pass the truck in front of me. Naturally, I signal and while switching lanes, I stepped on her but then......I heard this 'pop' and it sounded like it was my car........ I didn't even get up to 40 before the 'engine malfunction, reduced power' light came on (half engine light). Tried so step on her but she wouldn't go, seems sluggish (high rev in rpm but not moving as she should) and didn't hear the BOV at all, then I knew something was wrong.......... So I went home and popped the hood, and this is what I saw........ The picture shows the end of the BOV coming off the clamp and connection.........

It's got a small bolt on the other side and you tighten it by just turning it. It came with the set-up.......

And this is why you dont replace the DVs with a BOV. This car was not designed for a BOV.....
Best of luck taking care of it bud...

this happened to me... all i did was just put it back into place and tighten the clamp and haven't had any problems. make sure you clean the oil on the silicone hose or it might pop out again, also you might want to get a catch can looks like there is alot of oil in the pipes.

This has alot to do with oil being in the intake piping....All the amount of tighten will probably not help when there is oil present!!! These cars are just not suitable for a BOV.

It sounds like the blow off valve failed to blow off excess pressure when it needed to...
good thing it wasn't the engine that popped!

Yeah, a BOV made the hose pop off under full throttle acceleration.
Buy some good T-bolt or constant tension clamps. This happens all the time in the world of boosted cars. The BOV had nothing to do with it other than you having to take the stuff apart to put it in. You might also try a little hairspray on the end of the pipe when you get ready to put it back together. The hairspray works as a lubricant when wet. Then dries to glue to keep the hose on the pipe. |

It probably loosened up after the car was hot. You probably just need to re-tighten the clamp while the car is hot.
