Hello

Anyone here get parts for E92 generation of cars from junk yards? I would always like to find one or something but all I can find dates to E46 and older. Nothing newer. Although the only junk yards I know of are Kenny U Pull.

Anyone has any idea if I need to look for other speciatly junk yards or something? In the USA it seems so easy to find E90s/E92s in junkers but here... I can't.

i dont think many go to junkers unless heavily damaged....too many expensive bmw parts can be harvested and resold at top dollar.

Yeah that's what I'm starting to realise. I can find used parts from junk cards but no actual you pick cars left in the open.

It sucks because I would love to practise doing things on the car without damaging my own haha.

I guess they will only start going there when they get older.

I love junk yards...maybe I'm weird? Either way, I check my local yards inventory somewhat frequently, and I've yet to see an E9x come up.

Here(Nashville, TN) they go to dismantlers who strip/inventory the parts and sell them at a price somewhere between the self service yards and new.

There is a place in Calgary that have a bunch of 3 series. Gtrauto I think.

In the GTA, there's a white '11 E92 335iX at parts4lessupull.ca in Courtice. Almost nothing left of it. They had an e90 in there last year, same story. I don't know what state those two made it into the yard in, but by the time I saw them they were essentially picked clean.

A few years ago a black LCI e92 made it into the U-pull yard at Standard Auto Wreckers. It had been rolled, bad. There wasn't a good body panel on the car, and the cams were bent by the collision as well. I got a bunch of useful spares like coil packs, sensors, valvetronic motor, things like that.

ive seen some e90's listed at kenny, but never for an e92.

Visiting from E82. Found today Saturday 5 Jan a E9? 4 door sedan 328Xi at Kennedy U Pull in Laval PQ. Someone cut many wires, looks like to remove many of the computer modules. Front bumper off, saw condenser laying there (rad?) Front of engine all there [I took the alternator], looks like all coils & plugs gone. LF fender gone I think. Rest of body maybe OK. Lots of plastic panels removed inside. Think it was automatic. Unknown year and mileage. Engine had been leaking a lot of oil, the alternator just covered in it.

Actually I'm now seeing 11 E90s at piece d'auto La Roche at or near the Kenny U Pull.

There's a bunch around me. I think I counted 5 or 7 yesterday. even a 330 with Lemon sport interior. It is mostly sedans though.

Where was that 330 with Lemon?

By any chance do you recall what colour the paint was on the 330?

Sorry for the delay; It was black. Anything windshield forward is absolute toast.

I gotta head back soon for some S60/V70 parts so maybe I can get the actual paint code.

Went to my local junk yard. All of the typical items are taken. Steering wheel, trim, interior pieces, FRM, modules, etc.

They are good for bolts, nuts, clips, etc.

Parts4lessUpull in Courtice has two E90 325i's, both auto, non-sport. One is Black2, the other looks like Monaco Blue. Black one has an engine. Doors look good on the black one, too bad they're not black sapphire metallic or there'd be one or two in my garage. Left doors on the blue one are good. Right rear is not. Too bad, I needed that one too.

Also an LCI 335xi E92. Auto. Engine/tranny gone.

car-part.com is awesome. I've been using them for almost 20 years. The site hasn't changed a bit

The only place I know of is bimmer heaven in milton. They strip bmws and have a warehouse (EDIT: more like a barn) filled with parts. reasonably priced, and they're knowledgeable.
