Anyone have this problem?
I have an 07 335i sedan steptronic. When I drive 30-40 min or more in the car the oil temp usually goes as high as 245-250 and stays there and goes down as I continue on driving (lowest I seen during normal driving is 230). Well yesterday when I was driving in heavy traffic the car hit 250 degrees and when i exited into the city when I hit the gas the car squealed. Something from the engine bay.. it would not do it when the car was at a stop only when it was in motion..
Just taking the foot off the gas and it squealed. Note: I heard faint squeals before but this time it was LOUD and only does it after the temp hit that high. Oh, no oil cooler... Any ideas? This crap is embarassing and makes my 07 look like a hunk o junk.

250 degrees isn't really that high in stop and go... which is why they adjusted the scaling in the 08's so that it doesn't look like its so far past halfway at 245-250 anymore. I don't know about that noise though. Just don't be too alarmed over your oil temps.

do a search for serpentine belt, there were alot of info on that. mine died on me already and the alternator pulley i belive was the culprit. Something about the design so they put a new design pulley and replaced the belt. Might be your serpentine belt going out slowly.
