I ran the VIN. It was not born an M Sport package car. It looks like it was a non-sport package car but had the premium package. It shows it was also born with an automatic transmission.
So the sporty bits were added later.

The car did not originally come with the sport package - I added the seats, steering wheel, swapped the trim, shift knob, etc after I purchased it. Bumpers are factory LCI bumpers, not m-sport. The VIN Decoder is certainly wrong in this case as it was always a manual car - it had one owner prior to me purchasing it, a 60+ year old doctor... I doubt he bought it new and then had a shop swap the gearbox.

I've seen VIN decoders give the wrong gearbox type before.

This is a beautiful example. If it were RWD I would have likely bought it already. All of you people constantly on the hunt for a nice example of an e91 need to step up.
