Iphone or Idrive problem...

I've had my e92 since January and never had an issue. In the last month, my Iphone and Idrive are going psycho. I plug my Iphone into my Ipod connection in my armrest and the music list loads up. I select a song and it starts playing. After a few seconds, it will stop and send me to a radio station. I pick AUX again, and the song starts playing again. Then the same crap happens over and over. I've tried turning the wireless off on the Iphone and a few other things. It keeps happening. Friday, the whole menu locked up and I disconected the Iphone. Everything on the Idrive froze. I turned the car off for a while and it came back to normal. I wonder if I have an Idrive issue, or my phone is spazing. It seems to have gotten worst after I did the new update on the Iphone. Any suggestions ?

Do you also have it pairing with the bluetooth? Maybe that's causing a conflict?

Yes. It is pairing with the bluetooth. I think I may have to use an ipod just for the music.

Yeah. I don't use my iphone as an mp3 player, so I'm no expert, but I hear you can either have it do bluetooth or have it play mp3s, not both.

This is a known problem with early car firmware. Go to your dealer and report the problem as a iPod skipping to radio randomly, and they will take your car and upgrade the firmware (it takes about 8 hours :-o)

If your dealer sends you away saying it is not a known issue - kick them in the butt as it is a known problem worldwide.

I reported mine, they updated me to 27.x firmware - now it is all perfect!

Have fun.
