Air Intake or Performance exhaust

If one has a tuned car (V3/dinan/JBR/Helix/AA), which is better to get for the better throttle response and power in lower rpm(<5000) and turbo longevity? I know tuning a car will affect in some engine/turbo longevity but which will help minimize those effects. I am not looking for max hp. Thanks.

if you are looking for max hp, get both + intercooler, dp and such...

exhaust gets my vote between the two...
