N51 Engine shaking & wanting to stall - UPDATED Video [DISA / Spark Plugs Replaced]

So, Recently i've just finished the oil pan gasket change + new engine mounts on my 328 everything looks good and no leaks as of yet. However, after ~ 120 Miles after the change the engine has developed some type of loud tick (not lifters) and engine popping and shaking. The engine sounds like it wants to stall.

Update :

- Car is accompanied with a misfire every 3-5 seconds
- Checked codes
- DISA valve self destructed, replaced popping noise gone
- Misfires only after replacing DISA
- Spark Plugs Changed, No Change

Compression Test Results

Cylinder 1 - 190
Cylinder 2 - 190
Cylinder 3 - 160
Cylinder 4 - 190
Cylinder 5 - 0
Cylinder 6 - 170

1. DME: Combustion misfires, Cylinder 3
2. DME: Combustion misfires, Cylinder 4
3. DME: Combustion misfires, Cylinder 5
4. DME: Combustion misfires, Cylinder 6
5. DME: Combustion misfires, Several Cylinders

Here is a video of the popping

Any ideas?

Big questions: was the noise there before the repair? You are most likely noticing it after the repair since you are paying closer attention to it. BUT... When you did your gasket, you probably cleaned all the oil from cams etc.
Rev it few times to redline so everything lubes up nicely. It should go away after few hard drives. And by rev, i mean - redline it (and keep it there a bit), and not half ass 4000rpm.

Loud noise was not there before the repair, only happened after ~100 miles after driving.

Car was driven for ~ 120 miles as well as 30 of those miles canyon driving, spirited driving. I would think this would be enough.

Car is also accompanied with a misfire every 3-5 seconds, not sure if it matches this noise. will test more tomorrow. See if i can lift the car and see from where exactly the noise is coming from.

So i tried to lift the car up in the morning, turned it on to move it on some ramps and the engine started to shake and make pops like crazy. immediately turned it off after getting a video clip.

It should be, but he doesn't tell us how many miles he has. Maybe the car blew up.

Sorry for the delay in update. Car is 155k miles, not covered under SULEV warranty.

I have checked both DISA valves, the lower DISA valve on the outside of the intake manifold basically self destructed
and sent both halves of the flap including metal pin through the manifold which was causing all the racket.

Luckily the metal pin did not do any visible damage and everything is in tact. Looks as if nothing made it past the valves.

Managed to recover all pieces of the DISA flap and replace with a new genuine DISA. Popping has since disappeared.

Now to resolve misfires...

Will replace spark plugs and do a leakdown test to verify if i have bent valves or not... Fingers crossed

So, I've changed the spark plugs. No good. Rough idle still present & car sounds like it wants to stall....

Any ideas?

So, I've finally had some time and managed to do a compression test. Results aren't too good and it looks as if the DISA flap did indeed do some damage.

Compression Test Results

Cylinder 1 - 190
Cylinder 2 - 190
Cylinder 3 - 160
Cylinder 4 - 190
Cylinder 5 - 0
Cylinder 6 - 170
