thinking of doing paint correction / ceramic coating, wonder if anyone could share personal recommendations. Preferably in NYC or close by.

Personally, I think the industry standard seems to be cquartz 3.0 for consumer use. I am a consumer and the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. I pretty much know what I am getting. If i get something cheaper I don't trust it and if I get something more expensive it is not worth taking the chance because the 3.0 does exactly what I want. But I would recommend you buy ceramic coating from any one of them: https://anewwayforward.org/best-car-ceramic-coating/
Color N Drive 9H and Armor Shield IX both are good for ceramic car coating.
