Have anyone tried H11 in fog light for E92???

Reason why I ask is b/c H8 and H11 should be closely the same and H11 is available in LED. Not sure if it will throw code at 55W, fill me in guys?

H11, 55 watts in the M-tech front for the E92 is ok. But for a stock bumper, its usually H8, 35 watts

yes, it's the same but you won't be able to fit the H11 into the foglight due the tri-clips shape.

So if we are albe to manage to get H11 to fit in H8 housing it should be okay, since the car is the same, only the housing is different. I read a post where people used H11 HID kit to plug into e92 housing with a slight trim to the housing and it fit.

On the subject of foglights, I'm not sure what size socket wrench to use to remove the screws in the wheelwell? Can anyone please help?

Thanks.

Most of them are 8mm, if it doesn't work tried 10m. I need to do mine too as well, but seems like so much work, and its 100degree outside. I'm lazy

How hard is it on the trimming to make the H11 bulb fit in there? Please share some picture.

H11 foglights came standard as part of my M-Tech body kit. At 55W they are brighter than H8 and no code whatsoever.

We hooked up some H11 LED bulbs into a friend's E92 stock front bumper. Just slightly modified the tabs on the H11 bulb, added in some $9 Autozone 25W resistors, and presto - LED foglights working in his car. They're bright & look good and match the headlights perfectly, but they don't shine worth a shit on the ground when driving compared to halogen bulbs.

I have PIAA H11 Yellow Ion for fog.. no error at all....

As far as modifcation goes, I modify the Fog light housing.. just make one of the clip hole a little bigger using drill tool.

and so far, I have no moist in the fog housing.

get a set of HIDs and you are set on some effective foglights.

sorry guys.. it does require very little trimming of the bulb's tab(easier) or make the fog housing tab a little bigger(more time and not reversible).

I bought my h11 xenon kit used and after closer examination, the bulb's tab were already altered by previous owner.

So why couldn't you get an H8 kit to keep it OEM fit?
