Radar in Germany and Austria?

Hey Folks,

Coming to Munich in 10 days for a Euro Delivery and was wondering if a radar detector is needed. Mine is a Valentine One with European radar supported.

it is a helpful thing if you want go really fast. but be careful with the police. sometimes they are on the auto´bahn in civil cars. audi a 6, 5 series. and if you are chatched they confiscate your radar dectector. you also get a very high penalty

Radar detectors are illegal in Austria. If you get caught even when it’s not connected it will be confiscated and you will get a fine. I think it’s the same in Germany.
