How would you put up a poster in your house?

i wanted to have the posters framed but it seems as though there are no good options under $30 per frame...i have 8 posters already and was looking to buy more so you may be able to understand why im hesitant to purchase frames...it will come out ot about $500 total just to have them framed...i was looking for alternatives to framing such as poster strips or poster bindings...what is the best idea, in your opinion, to hang posters up?

they will be in my bedroom, which is also the movie/game room..

Check Wal-mart or Target, they have pretty cheap priced poster frames and they dont look bad.

The cheap frames always look bad in the long run. Pick the posters you like the most or will be seen the most by visitors and pay to have those professionally framed. Maybe even work out a multiple poster deal with that person. Then cheap frame the rest.

+1

If I remember to, I'll post a pic of an F40 I have framed. My mom picked out a frame for me a few Christmas' ago. I was simply shocked at how awesome it came out.

Can't beat the professional frames. From the cheap ones I have seen it is just better to have nothing at all.

How hard would it be to make frames from wood trim that you buy at Lowe's?

I don't know myself; that's why it's a question.

You may be able to find a DIY online, somewhere. Won't have the glass or plastic protection, unless you want to pay extra.

If you have the right tools, not that hard at all.

I'd imagine placing the glass would be the most difficult.

What kind of posters and how big is the room?

8 seems like a lot for one room. By the way, $60+ for a custom frame isn't bad at all...

I have a few movie posters I have framed. For example I have an original theater The Matrix poster in a museum quality double sided frame with no glare. I also have a Matrix Reloaded in a double sided that isnt quite as nice because the poster isnt worth near as much. I have a Star Wars Trilogy poster in a pretty nice custom frame. All of which hold and increase in value.

I do it by worth and expected worth. Depends on what you want to spend.
