On-again off-again BT connect w/ V710
I'm having a problem with my Motorola V710 (in theory, a supported model) and my brand new E90. The connection is made, exchanges pin numbers, all that good stuff. But then it will cycle, connected, then disconnected, every 5 seconds or so forever. I've tried getting a new software download at the Verizon store, and since the car was built in Feb it should have the new software build in there... thoughts? I'd love to use this feature I paid for!

I had a V710 and I had the same problem from time to time. No rhyme or reason to it, it would just happen out of the blue. It would work fine for weeks and then boom, start doing the thing you described for a couple of hours. I took it into the local dealer and they couldn't figure it out either. 99% of time it worked though. The next time it doesn't work try completely turning off the car, remove key fob, etc. and wait about 30 minutes restart the car and try pairing it again. That worked for me.

I'll keep trying - but it's done it every day since I've picked up the car. Very frustrating.

If you haven't already, take it to the dealer and get them to make it work. It's on the list of supported phones so I'd say it an issue for them to resolve. It wouldn't hurt to have them check the software codes on the car and make sure you're not missing something.

Cell phone stability with bluetooth
Simply put, you must have CIP 20 or higher on your car to get it to work. If you want more details, do thread search or go over to bimmerfest.com and search there. Unit for bluethooth goes to sleep and doesn't wake up, bug in software on the car.
