I致e been looking to get a bmw with an n54/n55 engine and I found this 335i. A friend knows a bmw tech who will look at it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any advice or thoughts. Thanks

I wouldn't touch that car, shitty options for that price & miles.

Its a nice looking car and if you plan on staying stock, will work. The facts above stand in regards to missing sport option etc.
All that said, it is over-priced substantially IMO for what it is - that is a fact, the rest is up to you. GL!

Staying stock? It's clear the car has already been modified.

I see wheels, hood, bumper and it says exhaust - to me that's not modded. That's an appearance package at best.
I was referring to doing some mods to produce more power. It will need an oil cooler to keep things healthy long term and it looks to have a stock suspension which will need an upgrade as well if a decent amount of power is added.

Very overpriced, IMO. I bought a 2010 335ix last week, comfort access, some sport options, non-M, with 126k kms (78k miles) for $12,500 CAD. $10k USD. I'd keep looking if I were you.
