Clutch delay valve stuck
Anyone ever deal with a clutch delay valve that was stuck?
Was trying to remove it today, was able to remove the two metal pins but the line and the cdv didn’t want to disconnect. |

You must have a build that has metal receiver on the clutch slave cylinder side of the CDV, which mine also has. I had similar problem, it is caused by corrosion on the metal side that shrinks the bore diameter the plastic CDV goes into. A lot of and repeated application of penetrating oil there and patiently trying to move the CDV back and forth and rotate it came off eventually in my case. The o-ring was shot, all hardened and scraped off during removal. The CDV body was also bruised because I was trying to rotate and pull it out holding with pliers. I had a brand new replacement CDV part that had the restriction part inside removed. Used that one as replacement, that had new o-ring with it.
After some build year and models, that is all plastic; even the slave cylinder itself. |

O-ring must have been dried and stuck holding it in with additional rust in there that makes it tighter.
You can try to gently twist back and forth the plastic CDV body while holding the other end. Add more penetrating oil, repeat. You will need to have a replacement o-ring at hand to put it back together. |
