herky-jerky DME 80 v29.1

Having some problems with BMW Assist & the dealer wants to update the software. I'd like to maintain invisibility JUST IN CASE I want a JB3, Procede or SSTT.

Members here have reported that with 30.xx the car shifts better, and I see that the tuners claim total invisibility with 29.2 & subsequent software versions.

Should I forget about the update & hope I never need BMW Assist? Do the update and hope the tuners are right?

Has anyone with DME 80 gone from 29.1 to 30.xx??
