Question about Riss downpipes

when I order the downpipes do I need to also buy the o2 sim?

That's not entirely correct. You can extend your bungs but that is solution that most people in here neglect to consider.

How viable is that as a solution? I thought after a certain build date that the bung extension was viable as fix for the CELs?

No, that is something that others have tried and didn't work. I believe it will differ from car to car but I remember about hearing of one or two members who tried it and it didn't work.

Getting sims is the easiest and surest way to go.

Getting the sims is probably the best way to go. Some peoples cars freak out with out them and some dont.

My car I bought in Nov of 06 and I never ran Sims and never had a CEL.

I would just get them and be safe though

you might also want to mention that there are a number of people that have done it and WORKS fine.

I would rather spend the money on something i didn't have to yank out every single time i go the dealer.
