Valentine V1 question
It seems every time I am near an infiniti SUV my laser signal on the V1 goes off.
Anyone know why this happens?

Laser active cruise control, and it's always "on".
Trailblazers have neon third brake lights that are close enough to the laser spectrum to cause false alerts, too. There are others.

Jeez, I have been wondering about phantom lasar alerts on my Passport 9500... that explains it! That's gonna get pretty annoying the more of those vehicles hit the road since lasar is one of those alerts you don't neglect at first thinking it could be a false alert. I usually hit the brakes hard right away....
Also, anyone notice lately, especially on bridge overpasses and on signs in construction zones, they have radar emitters mounted all over the place to make you slow down or even worse, get so annoyed that you totally ignore the alert and then get nailed by the cop with the real gun around the next bend... Almost makes me wanna toss my RD completely |

The thing I have noticed with the radar signs usually use K-band around here, and the police in the metro area here seem to only use Ka-band. So if I have the K-band going off and I am in the city, I don't usually worry about it.
