08' 335xi start up and exhaust
Hi all,
I have two issues I need some clarification on. 1) When I start the car, i notice air only comes out of the right exhaust until the rpm comes to an idle. After the rpm comes to its natural idle spot (600rpm) then the air will come out of the left side exhaust. Is this normal? Can someone confirm for me? 2) Lately, when I punch the gas, it feels like the power is not completely smooth. Just wondering if I have the intake manifold cleaned will this help w/ issue. Just as a background info, the car has cold start issues. Meaning car will start up no problem, but when the rpm is coming down after the initial start, it sort of feels like its going to stall or its not getting enough fuel/air. I have put a video link below of a cold start and a link to my previous post about cold start issue. https://photos.app.goo.gl/vmLaJzocuCiUEGUE7 https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1535457 PS. the cold start issue is not there if the car is warm. Thanks, |

yes its normal about the exhaust. once it warms up the flap opens for other exhaust. u can do a golf tee mod to keep them both open. makes it slightly louder. I didnt use a golf tee but just zip tied the vacuum tube and it stayed open.
Cold starts could be your fuel pump possibly. And cleaning the intake will probably help. Still need to get mine done. |
