Thor Wifi Adapter

Hi Everyone,

has anyone successfully connected the Thor Wifi Adapter to INPA?

This are the instructions provided with the adapter:

Quote:
Open your C:\Ediabas\Bin folder
- Find api32.dll and rename it to api32_cable.dll
- Change "ENET" to "STD:OBD"
- Copy the new api32.dll into the same folder
- Plug in your THOR Wifi Adapter into the OBD port
- Search for Thor_Wifi Network on your laptop and connect
- Start any of the tools. They will connect right away to your vehicle!
Unfortunately, I am doing everyone per instructions but still unable to connect to INPA.

Any ideas what I might be missing?

Thanks.

Seems strange instructions to me.

Are any drivers installed with this device? Because setting ediabas to STD:OBD it will look for a Comport.

I guess you should actually configure ediabas for ENET so it connects to the THOR IP address...

No, no drivers. It is basically a Wifi network that you connect to with a really good signal. The original api32.dll file is 60KB, the modified one is 794KB so I guess the miracle happens inside this library. I did try to set the IP of the adapter in the EDIABAS under the RemoteHost parameter but this did not help. Tried also with ENET, did not help as well.
