Is BPC still doing N52 tunes?
I was parusing their site and noticed I can't find a tune for a N52? Are they done with us?
Reason is I'm researching headers. Obviously Active Autowerkes have a tune with their header, but I'm a little concerned about pesky visual inspections that some safety check stations tend to do. I know some stations don't even look, but I was hoping to stay legal. So AFE catted header came to mind. Also considering the AA exhaust or Magnaflow but I didn't think that affected much. But does BPC still do tunes (remotely)? I'm in Hawaii. I know Active Autowerkes does remote tunes with the Simon3, but didn't know if their tune was more catered to their own hatless headers. I've heard the BPC has a little more low end torque which would probably be more effective for me in my use. Any assistance or opinions appreciated. |

edit:
see here for more information: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...php?p=24757129 --------------- original post: It's not over yet. Currently, BPC is not offering it. Soon, something else will pop up in their place. Regardless from who you get the tune, if you go catless, you will still have the same issue of passing inspection. However, I would suggest following to you: Get MILVS, 3IM, Dinan mod, remove secondaries, do magnaflow. If you don't drive long distances at high speeds, you can even do rear dif swap if you have a manual. With this set up, you will have super fun car and still be emission legal. Headers are not worth the hype unless you are going to the racetrack or really want FBO. For daily driver, they are not needed. Last edited by W37V; 05-07-2019 at 10:18 PM.. |

MILVS will have to wait till I hit the valve cover again, cause I didn't like that job the first time. 3IM done. Euro intake (I know, I know, but it's done; will consider Dinan CAI basically). Magnaflow is indeed the one I was leaning towards; but I think it still has a resonator. Car is an auto too, so that diff change is ixnay. Thanks for your take! |

I noticed that too, only saw an E90 tune of theirs for the M57 diesel. I have their N52 tune and hope they'll still support it. Will have this car for a while

I was one of the last ones to get their tune for a 3 stage and headers. And it's amazing! This is what our cars should of been from the factory. Shifting at 7200 is ridiculously loud. The thing that I like most about the tune is that it still drives like it did before until you add some gas. I think that this is just temporary as they were really busy and took awhile to get back my tune. Maybe call them wnd let us know what's happening?

I called yesterday and they told me their tuner just put his 2 weeks in. Was just about to pull the trigger on BPC tune, see how it feels on my N51 and get headers in a few months.
Unfortunately we are SOL for BPC tune until they find a new guy... Think ill go with AA for now i guess |

Whatever they are (BPC) currently selling, they probably developed without Bob or Bob + someone else, so he gave BPC rights to tunes in order to keep up good relationship. |

As an employee working for a company any software you design or create remains the property of the company. BPC will still 'own' all of the N52 tunes Bob has created. What they won't have until they recruit a new tuner is someone who can sort any little issues with a tune (if there are any). I imagine it will be almost impossible to recruit a tuner with Bob's experience of this ECU.
