Just wondering how BMW Assist actually connects to the call center when you call for assistance or the car is tracked for stolen vehicle recovery?
Does it piggyback on other networks such as Cingular, Verizon, etc.? I know BMW doesn't maintain a worldwide network, so there must be some other method. |

verizon (and presumably verizon's roaming partners).
which is strange since verizon is CDMA, and in europe, they all use GSM, primarily.
