Front bumper alignment

Is there supposed to be a tiny gap where the side of the bumper (amber reflector region) meets the front fender, or is supposed to sit flush with the fender? Meaning that if you ran your finger across the fender to the bumper, you would feel a lip.

I took off my bumper to install lower black mesh and I forgot how its supposed to line up.

I took mine off as well, I know have a little gap and am not sure as well, but it looks pretty normal...
