Remote Wire for 335i (COUPE)

i want to tap into the cigarette lighter (up front), btw, my 07 335i coupe doesn't have a lighter in the back, don't know if thats the case for everyone else.
i'm adding an amp/sub into the car, i don't want to tap into the factory amp remote wire. I've seen several members stated they've used the lighter for remote signal, does anyone have pictures or have steps for this type of install?

i tapped to the lighter in the center counsel. Problem is it only fires up when the car is running. But other than that, works fine.

you can run a long remote wire from your amp to the cig lighter. start from the trunk and put it under the rear seat. you can then run it along the door floor liner on the passenger side all the way to the front. after that, run it along the front passenger footwell to wrap it around to get to the center console. here are some pics to help you out from my e90. i did this to run the wire for my bass boost controller. you can do it similar to this. i hope this helps.

I ran the cable straight up the center console from the rear to the cig lighter in the arm rest. worked great. In the coupe, the center console goes into the rear seat so remove your rear seats and tuck your remote wire into the console until you get to the cig lighter.

oh even better for the coupe guys. for hte sedan there is the gap; so that is why i went to the side.

I couldn't find a source for the 12V remote wire in the trunk either. I was going to use the armrest power socket, but like TMR above said: the power socket only comes on when the car is running. I do all of my audio "tweaking" with the car off and the car ignition set to accessory, so the power outlet was not good for me. I ended up using a Low Voltage Trigger and it works perfectly. The best part is that the entire sub/amp install was limited to the trunk area.

so i would like to know...

remote for I-DRIVE and non - i DRIVE be the same right? i can just install my own subs/AMP with Stock deck? i need some help.. btw im keeping the stock components.

will be adding

1000/1 jl audio
12w7 with box
campacitors.

is it possible? electrical problems? i remember in my TSX i turn off the radio it makes a weird sound. but this car came wired to the rear speakers and remote from somewhere? haha it has NAVI too (stock) im tired so im sorry if i type anything wrong or maybe missing
