Talking Power Intake from aFe

We have been waiting to get our hands on final info for the new intake from aFe. What a professional product, even a way to hook up the air snorkel without hacking up the car!

Well we have it now and it is amazing! 27Hp and 34 lb feet of Torque at the wheels on a Mustang Dyno!! All of that at only 4250 RPM too! Combine that with the SSTT or any power upgrade and you have a whopping amount of power that is completely bolt on and easily removable for dealer visits!

See attached photos, Eurobahn is a master distributor so we are going to offer a major discount for the online community as usual. We don't want to start a war so we won't post the price but I promise it will be a major discount with free shipping!

Eurobahn's discount price is on the most expensive version with the oiled filters not the non oiled "Dry" set up. This is a special introductory price sale so don't wait, we can't do this for very long!

Here is the link for this introductory special:
http://eurobahn.us/54-11472.aspx

Keep your eye out for the Sept/Oct. issue of European Car Magazine for the Eurobahn 135

Jeff, did you guys do an independent dyno of this? Their numbers are inflated and the dyno only shows from 3000rpm to 5500rpm. You should setup an independent dyno and dyno the stock air box vs the AFE intake back to back.

Talking

I have worked with these guys for more than 5 years. And have worked with them on their mustang dyno, it does read low. We are doing a magazine article with European Car Magazine on Friday. WE hope to get a unit on our 135 for that test!

However, given the power we got off our simple dual cone with outheat shield ourselves these numbers seem perfectly reasonable to me. See our attached dyno which is the SSTT, 95 octane, dual cone intake and our new 135 muffler.

The first is baseline then we did just the SSTT then with the other mods. I expect to see another 10-15Hp with this intake on our car!

Wow we got a sale already on the website! Who ever you are thanks

ok, no stealing my ideas Already looking at modling Carbon Fiber hoods for people who have these!

I expect more units available in a day or three. But looks like several people have already ordered so these are going to be a winner. We listed them on 1addicts and there are a few sales from their as well already now.

Personally, I shall be waiting to see:
- One or two independant dynos or track runs

- Notes from people on install fit/ease.
Other intakes have been "easy" to install, but they a) alter the angle of the plastic stock rear hose over time, making reinstallation of the stock box a REAL PAIN because it doesn't want to line up and slide in anymore. b) don't fit perfectly into the stock front air tubes, effectively "crimping up" the flexible plastic and mushing it when the hose clamp is tightened around it.

These comments/questions are related.
The dyno was obviously done with the hood open.
I totally believe the dynos because i've seen it for myself.
If people are asking if this gain is for the real world then the answer is no.

When we drive there is only an allowed amount of air to go to the intake.
If we drove around with the hood open then I would say that these results are real.

Yes, I think this intake is the best on the market.
Yes, I believe that the flow is better than stock.
But, I do not believe that you will see gains like this in real world conditions.

I personally think those numbers are a little too high just from a intake 27hp and 34 torque! Thats great numbers if this is true, but BMS and Shivs intake are very similar minus the heat shield and the numbers are much lower....Definately need to see some other dynos from OP on the street. Realistically the intake should be tested with the hood close and not opened.

Just imagine how hot your turbos are when that air goes through it.
