That looks really sharp ... but how about some details?
Make, Model, functions, installed cost, interoperability with BMW standard info display ...

it's Kenwood KVT-819 w/ Nav & Bluetooth Module. The Nav module is Garmin made, so it is very easy to use and accurate. Cost me around $2200 total including installation. No error code at all. So far I don't regret installing it.

How about when you need to access the computer to check your stats and such. How does that work?

Do the sterring wheel controls still work? I guess you lost the computer readout (i.e. range, average spped, consumption, distance to empty) that displayed on the stock unit.

very nice screen - although IMO, I'm not a fan of it in a BMW - just doesn't look right - but its still a nice screen nonetheless. . . . Looks like a nice Nav setup.
You have a shot of it closed? Does the face remove? One touch button/auto open and close. Is that legal in Washington? In Florida - you can't have a tv screen within the view of the driver. How long are your drives that you can watch a DVD while driving? I had one in my last car and used it just to play DVD Concerts on a 4 1/2 hour drive. Be careful driving, watching and touching the screen. Enjoy the toy! (And if you don't have it already, I'd get the alarm to at least make somebody think twice).

For $2200 I would pick the OEM nav instead.

I can tell the owner is Viet and its Tinh DVD.
On to the topic, its a nice screen, but for that price, I think you can get a PC that hide in the car with a touchscreen with internet (using 3G simcard convert to PCI from ATT). Then Navigation, Divx, DVD burner. Just my 2cents |

1. How's the a/c in the car now that two of the vents are covered/blocked? 2. Any electronic side affects/errors come up? 3. Is the stock radio stored anywhere? Thanks in advance! |
