Problem with phone pairing via bluetooth
Got an 08 335i and a Samsung SPH-A900. The phone pairs perfectly with no hassles, but the problem is that after I leave the car and come back, the car forgets about the phone and I've got to pair it again. And again it works, but let the car sit overnight and hop into it the next morning, and the same issue pops up.
Anyone have this issue? Any solutions? |

I'm feeling much better now, Dave

Just a shot in the dark, but two phones ago, I had one that could bond with another device, without it being declaring a "Trusted Device". So that connection would be temporary. Useful if you wanted to BT a contact or file to someone you met, but wouldn't want to have a permanent connection.
Check in your phone's Bluetooth setup to see if the car is listed as a Trusted Device. My Treo 775p has my car shown there as BMW and a 5-digit number.

BMW's have a very SHORT list of phones that will work perfectly with bluetooth, if your phone isn't on that list you will have to pair it every time you get in the car. Trust me on this one I used to sell Bimmers and it was always such a hastle having to tell a customer that the $50,000 car they just bought isn't completely compatible with the phone they have. Just contact your dealer and they will tell you what phones are compatible and which ones aren't. It does suck but just b/c you have bluetooth on your car and bluetooth on your phone doesn't mean that they will work perfectly together.
