Blown stock amplifier (Who can repair it?)
Ive had it checked by 2 different audio places. It seems as though my amp is broken. Although it plays audio at low volume it studders and breaks in and out and mid to high volume.
I tried buying another amp but both places and dealer told me I have to buy the stock amp. The only problem is that I got quoted around 800 dollars. I found one, might be the right one, on ebay for about 200. Im hopeing it's possible to get this repaired and find out who. any ideas? anywhere in so-cal? |

But either way, he'll need the original amp since the amp does the optical to electrical processing (unless he gets rid of the original radio)... Try car-parts.com Online junkyard search engine. |

No they do not. M3 have either premium or professional. I think that's a good thing because without the professional, doing what I did would have been a lot harder.

Oh, and I cant use the warranty because my car was in an accident and it was hit near the area where the amp is located so the dealership told me my amp is void. thanks "smallseefishie", I'll check out those sites. Hopefully im lucky. Do you have an idea if the M3 amp will work? |

that is just strange. so my 325i has the same "Professional" (aka..junk) system as the new M3. If i am a M3 buyer, I would feel so bad when knowing that a regular 3 series(330/35) have better system.

Saying the warranty is void because the amp is "near" the area damaged doesn't make sense. Parts of this story are quite obviously being left out. Was the car not properly repaired after the accident? |
