E92 335I Build Thread
Hello everyone!
I picked up a e90 325i about 4 months back. I also sold my manual E46 330i M-tech 1 sedan around the same time. Recently I came up on a 2007 335i coupe with 113k. I was able to purchase the vehicle for under $3,000. Since I am limited on space, I am going to be selling the e90 and keeping the E92 and doing a little "Build on it". I've always wanted an E92 M3 (possibly in the future still) but I love the power of the N54. I will break down some of my parts and repairs on this thread... Bought the car with a slight Misfire and a wrap job that ruined 80% of the paint. The vehicle had a lemon title due to tires? So it was a rough start. Anyways, I will be converting a lot of the parts over the M3 style. I already had the front bumper OEM, so I figured I would continue with my journey. I have spent countless hours peeling and scrapping the adhesive off in preparation for paint. Here are some of the "Before and after" photos. I do paint and body on the side and my friend(s) own shops so I am very lucky. I do not care if this is not your "thing" because I have always wanted to do it. Part's Ordered / Purchased / waiting: OEM M220 Forged M3 Wheels (Fit beautifully) M3 E92 Conversion Fenders E92 M3 Mirror parts (Everything but the caps) High Kick spoiler Need to order: M3 style rear bumper w/ dual cutouts M3 Style side skirts Exhaust Tips (Unsure so far) Power Dome Last edited by RealJ22; 08-12-2019 at 06:18 PM.. |

Nice! Let me know how easy the sidemarkers go in. Mine feel like I'm gonna break a clip

Nice, I'm headed out of the country for a little while, but hopefully when I get back I can start on a few of my projects too! Getting ready to put all the cars in storage tomorrow. Never got a chance to find out how the seats turned out and what you learned, still a priority in my wagon although some m3 seats may be worth holding out for

I guess once you get the exterior to look like an M3, the interior is next ?

Rear bumper is on it's way! Just need skirts and power dome. Half of the mirrors should be here this week as well. I'm getting excited to paint |

Another shot of the front fenders.
Rear bumper came in as well I am waiting on the side skirts to arrive. I am debating between two different exhaust tips. Can anyone help me decide? I'm leaning towards the dual walled rather than the baffled. Rear bumper Exhaust tip options Last edited by RealJ22; 06-17-2019 at 03:02 AM.. |

So I am debating between these two tip options. One is dual rolled (Which I like alot) the other has some baffling. Since I am doing a muffler delete w/ catless downpipes, I just have to figure out how the rear end is going to look. (These are cheap stainless tips) I wanted to go 4", but it looked too large. I think quad 3.5" is perfect. Added bonus, before and after for the skirts. Night and day difference. It's also crazy how much the mirrors add to the presence now that they are off. |
