How to get DCI to not touch each other
My DCI have been rubbing inside the engine bay while driving, as I can tell from the paint rubbed off in one spot of both of the intakes.
What is the best method to get them to stop rubbing? Seat them all the way into the couplers? I just reinstalled them and they don't touch while the engine is OFF, but when the engine is on, they vibrate a ton and end up hitting into each other when going over potholes of uneven roads. It seems unavoidable. I was thinking zip-ties to hold them back, but I can't find anywhere that won't get blistering hot and melt them to connect it to. |

I don't have any experience with a DCI, so I can't tell you about fitment, however, if you're going to get stuck with them rubbing, and you don't want the paint messed up (because really, they are both plastic, it's not going to hurt anything by rubbing), you can get some foam padding like you'll see on hose or anything else that would rub, and stick that on there between them.
