Socal Detailer Needed!!!!!
I need a detailer who knows what he/she is doing. I'm from SF, but I am going to college in the OC. So anyways, I made the trip from norcal to socal in my car 3 times. I taped off the front bumper the first trip and underestimated the heat and some of the adhesive stuck. I tried goo gone and 3m adhesive remover with no results. My car was parked outdoors and after about a week, there was some mystery substance that seemingly came out of nowhere by the hoodpins. I tried goo gone and 3m on it again, nothing. A couple of days ago i was filling up and i noticed the same mystery liquid was trickling down the middle of my rear bumper. I think this mystery substance is melted lubricant from the hood latches on both sides of the hood and the trunk latch. I have no idea what its made of and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I haven't tried a clay bar yet.
So hopefully that will give you a good idea of what measures are needed to get the job done. I want the stuff off of my car by the end of the week because it is not getting any cooler in socal and I am afraid the various stuff on my paint will bond to my clearcoat if i leave it in this weather long enough I am willing to drive my car to you if you are within 30 minutes from Diamond Bar (inland empire) and I am willing to pay good money to get this stuff off of my car, so name your price. PM me your number if youre intersted: ![]() that hole is where the liquid was leaking near the trunk latch ![]() close up ![]() that streak on right of kidney is the substance, most of it is off but i dont want it sitting on my paint ![]() that hole that is the same shape as the trunk hole is where the leak is ![]() another one of the front
