Yellow Angel Eyes

I've got an 08 pre LCI E90 with angel eyes and adaptive headlights yadda yadda.

Since I bought the car, it's had some type of white colored angel eye bulb installed. I honestly prefer the yellow. I was thinking of replacing them the other week and then starting a couple days ago, they started flicking like crazy and intermittently actually just going out too! I've got a fault in my iDrive as well so looks like I won't need a good excuse to replace a perfectly good set of bulbs anymore!

Couple questions... Is that an H8? I'm reading some very misleading information. Some places on the web say H8 and some say H11 and some say 55 watt and some say 55 watt will cause major problems.

I would like some nice quality and bright yellow angel eyes. Does anyone make really bright ones for the E90 that are YELLOW not white?

Definitely agree on the yellow look. Compliments the xenon's a lot better. Another one that looks nice is amber.

So does this mean the post above you won't work for my car? Looks like it won't from checking their website. It's advertised for 09 and up E90s (LCI) How are you finding that my vehicle is fitted with H7 not H8? Must be the standard for pre LCI E90 angel eyes?

Best to enter your VIN and go from there: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

I don't think lux bulbs are going to fit your housing. E90 LCI uses H8

If you have a 2008 E90 sedan then it uses a unique bulb just to BMW. Its not an H8 or H7. most all replacement bulbs are white, such as our LUX E90 V7, and we have also in the past made custom Amber color bulbs as well. There are no Yellow LED's however on the market.

Looks like you're right. OMG what a cluster****. I ordered a couple H7s based on the post above. Now that I watch a DIY video online to replace the bulbs I can see, clearly, these are not regular H7s. Good to know. They're definitely unique.

Looks like at this point I've exhaust all of my resources to find an option that will work for what I want and I don't believe there is. I'd like the look of your Lux GOLD in my 08 sedan. Is that possible? Can you guys whip me up something custom?

My appology if i gave you wrong info. I was certain it was H7 based on realoem.

Could you let us know what is the correct bulb, so i can delete my previous posts?

It's really no problem at all.

I don't know what it's considered as far as labeling (H7, H8, H11, etc) but I do know the part number is 63117161444

It's very unique and that, to me, is irritating.

Thanks, hopefully this will help someone else as well.

I deleted my previous post with the links to the wrong H7 bulb.

Just for the record for other people that are unique beautiful butterflies like I am, @LuxAngelEyes was able to get me some custom made amber angel eye bulbs sent out quickly and affordably. I don't have them in yet, but it is possible to find some "brighter than stock" angel eyes that aren't white. I'm pretty excited to get them in the car and see how they look!

You are the first person I’ve actually heard say they prefer the yellow. White is the way to go for those angel eyes it’s a much cleaner look

Welcome to the forum. I think the yellow/orange/amber looks more menacing... Especially with my black paint.

Yep, couldn't agree more. You would be surprized to know there are many who prefer the orange halo rings over white.

Is there a filter on that photo? If yes could you post original photo without filter.

No filter on the photo. Just increased sharpening 20% and contrast 20%. The version you're seeing looks literally the same as the original except the sky is sharper, the forest is sharper, and the car is blacker. No filters. Just a really good product!

Looks great! I have a deep sea blue E91, got the Lux bulbs in it and absolutely love them, much brighter than the ebay leds that were in when i bought the car, i've been thinking about yellow/amber angel eyes for a bit and really want them, i think it would look great with the yellow fog lamps. I might shoot LUX a message in the near future to check if they can make me a custom pair!
