I want CIC and A2DP but am confused. I have 2008 CCC iDrive now
Like I said I currently have a 2008 E93 with CCC iDrive Navigation system that works fine, has the Logic 7 Amp and BT fir phone. I want to upgrade to the CIC system and add A2DP Bluetooth audio at the same time. I get that I need a CIC: stereo H.U., screen, and iDrive controller. What I am unsure how to buy or identify is what to get for Bluetooth audio. Is it s combox, a MULF or something else. Also is there a regular and a telematics combox? If so what is the difference? Is there a way to see a combox model/serial number and tell if that will even do Bluetooth audio? I am technically minded but I cannot find anything definitive about what I would need to gather. I see combox and other modules on eBay and have no idea what ones can do what from looking at them. With the right hardware I could figure out the coding. I just need to know what parts are better than others. I also don't know if the BMW connected apps would be possible in my 2008 E93 but I would like the most advanced system I could put together of course.
One more thing to confuse the situation. I would likely eventually swap the CIC screen out for the Avin Android unit so I could have the "dual" functionality and retain steering wheel controls, etc. |
