Another ticket...

I was so dumb for getting the ticket, but what are you going to do... you got to pay to play..... Anyways, coming home today... I got spotted around exit 37 for being solo and riding in the HOV lane, when the cop saw me..... look liked he saw a ghost, I was like.... ok just pull me over..... then ride behind for 20 mins...... anyways, get me over in traffic..... and gives me a ticket for HOV.. code: 1110A ...... 2 PTS... I can either appear or pay by mail (as he was pushing so dearly) but what is one to do? I think the code is for... "Not obeying road signs" or something to that degree. I got time and the court isn't to far from where I live.... Hempstead.... so whatever works... anyone have any experience with that code? I don't need those gay points right now, soooo maybe I'll appear?

If you appear the 2 point violation will be knocked down to a non moving violation...........trust I know from experience with tickets

I have a case on monday that I have to go to for Reckless driving and driving out the center of the lane that is being ENTIRELY DROPPED

Aww for sure. I just got off of a reckless with 0 points...... and 100$ fine.. FTW! Good luck with that!

Yeah, I'm just going to fight it as usual and hopefully come out on TOP.... Seriously it takes them 15 mins to write out a bullshit.... fill in the dots ticket.... court/tickets are such a waste of time and life...........

Usually when I go.. the DA or whoever pleas with you a deal... such as: "We will drop the pts or reduce them as long as you plea guilty and pay XXX amount of dollars.."

+1 that is always the case for a minor offense. obviously just showing up to court on the specified date is the real pain in the ass.

I wish, I'll only have the car for another year or so..... then maybe something new.. to play around in... maybe the twin turbo M5 if they release it or... the M6... yummy.. I got some more goodies being shipped to me real soon!

A couple of more tickets with points and its GAMEOVER for you for real!! LOL

....I would definately fight the ticket or appear...DA usually tend to offer you a plea bargain where you plead guilty and no points...But make sure you kiss ass and look presentable!!! Good luck...You should also try to get a PBA card...they work like a charm

you don't need one for a small violation. Just go and show up and when you're there waiting the cop that pulled you over will ask you to go into a room w/ him and ask you why you're there that day. If you tell him you want to lose the points, he'll knock it down to a moving violation and just charge you the fine for that. Dunno how much is it where you are but it was like 120 bucks for me when I got a 3 point ticket for trespassing through a private parking lot lol.

Almost any time you show up in court, they drop the points (except reckless). Courts only care about the $$$, and they know you'll even pay for a higher offense than let the insurance rape you on the points.
