2ABD Code From Hell

Alright guys I don't post here much but I need all your guys help. I replaced the fuel line from the HPFP to the PI rail because it was splitting and leaking. After putting it back together I keep getting a 2ABD that won't go away. I've taken it apart 4 times now looking for issues and can't find anything. The code only appears on start up and it gives me a half CEL and then after I clear it the cars fine. But every time I start the car it comes back.

Whoever leads me to the issue will become my new favorite person and I'll send you a bottle as a thank you.

Have you checked all wiring to the manifold pressure sensor, and cleaned the connection at the sensor?

It could maybe be caused by a boost leak too? Not so sure on that one.

Failing that, replace the map sensor, probably.

QUESTIONS:
1) What Scan Tool or Software are you reading that "2ABD" code with?
2) Is that Tool/Software able to correctly identify your Engine/DME as N55/mev17N..?
3) Does that Scan Tool or Software provide you with a DEFINITION of the "2ABD" Fault Code, and if so, WHAT is the Definition?
4) What is the Freeze Frame Data or snapshot of Engine Conditions/ Parameters at the moment the Fault Code is saved in DME Memory?

Here are the Definitions of Fault Code 2ABD for (1) N54 MSD80 & (2) N55 mev1746, per BMW Fault Code Lookup:

1) 2ABD | DME: Boost-pressure sensor, overrun | msd80

2) 2ABD | DME: Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter 2, plausibility | mev17n46

I presume you have the N55? If so that code means something ENTIRELY different than if you had an N54. I would start by inspecting the connector to the Pre-cat O2 Sensor for Bank 2, and its related wiring.

I'm just using MHD to read codes. I have a N54. So it's the boost sensor overrun.

I replaced both sensors and cleaned the connections. Still there. Guess I have to take the intake manifold back off and check wiring.

Your "Drives:" states "2013 ST 335is"
Is THAT the vehicle with the "2ABD" Fault Code?
If NOT, what is the Year, Model, Engine & DME of the subject vehicle?
I thought all 335i (at least in US) had N55 engine beginning with 2011 Model(?)
Do you have ANY scan tool that identifies the DME in YOUR vehicle (mev17N.. vs. MSD80)?

2011-2013 335is have n54s. Yes it's my ST 2013 335is.

No I don't have one here at my house. I'd have to go to the shop later today when there's people there

Update: After replacing the tmap, sensor on top of the manifold, the manifold itself, cleaning connections, and looking for a damaged harness. I've fixed nothing.

Still getting 2ABD on startup which goes away after being cleared and after I start driving I get 2D2E DME: Throttle-valve angle - intake manifold vacuum, correlation.

3-2 downshift does a poor job of rev matching. Same with 2-1.

My son has a 07 335i and he keeps getting either a P0171 or a P112F code.
From what I have been able to find out the p112f for is for the bad MAP sensor and I have cleaned it. The p171 is for the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor. We have replaced that. Today. My son just called and the cel came back on. I’m just waiting for him to get home to plug it in and see if it’s the map code again.

Same exact issue. 2ABD when starting? I clear and 2D2E comes when driving, and trans downshift same as u also.

So same exact issues. Wondering if you resolved it.
